Discover this exclusive variety of whole durum wheat cultivated by the Bea family known as “Senatore Capelli”. It is a wheat that was developed by Nazareno Strampelli, an important Italian agronomist, in the early 1900s. When first introduced, Senatore Capelli wheat was considered a life-saving discovery as its ability to produce a high quality, nutritious grain less susceptible to disease was unrivalled. It is a variety well adapted to organic farming since it grows to a prodigious height that leaves it less in contact with the ground humidity. It has a brownish-black shell and the resulting milled grain is a glorious amber hue. This flour is a spectacular choice for crafting your own pasta or baked creations at home.
